RTE 01 proven effective for Pathogen Control on
Jerky Treats

WHAT IS “ RTE 01 “?

One-step application to achieve Salmonella Control, and other Food Pathogens Post Lethality & Outgrowth Control

Hand dipped or Automatically “Sprayed In Bag”

Food antimicrobial, achieve minimum 3 to 4 log reduction (Post Lethality)

Food shelf-life extender. (Outgrowth Control)  Same step for both !

Formulated for use on pet and dog beef jerkey treats, and other RTE products.

Unique blend of Acidic Calcium Sulfate (ACS) and lactic acid.

University of Georgia study of pretreatments on Beef Jerky proclaims RTE 01 (also known in the study as acidic calcium sulfate (ACS)) most effective of all pretreatments in the study. Click Here for the Final Report at the USDA website.  Also, to view the Power Point study click here.

Low pH solution available as a concentrate or ready-to-use

What can "RTE 01" Pet Food Treatment do?

  • "ACS" / Acidic Calcium Sulfate helps make pet food safer by preventing the attachment and re-attachment of Salmonella and othe pathogens. ( ie: Listeria monocytogenes,Campylobacter, and  E.coli O157:H7 )
  • Increase Shelf Life: "ACS" helps pet food last longer by reducing spoilage or decaying bacteria, with a 4 log reduction at post lethality and extended shelf life from continued outgrowth control. ( Food can last longer resulting in reduced losses from spoilage, producing better financial returns and providing an increase in market distribution opportunities.)
  • "NO" taste or ordor issues, "ACS" actually inhances product flavors.
  • Significantly reduces or eliminates mold.
  • "ACS" helps provide reduced "D-value", the relationship between time and temperature required to cook food to ensure harmful bacteria are killed.
  • Temperature abuse protection.  "D" Value and temperature abuse protection are ONLY available in foods that contains "ACS", Acidic Calcium Sulfate.
  • "ACS" aids in making food more nutritious by calcium enrichment. Additionally, "PFT 100" can extend petfood products' value by aiding in making the pet food more nutritious through calcium enrichment. ( Calcium enrichment is in demand and unlike most calcium in food today, the body absorbs calcium more easily, a true competitive advantage.)

Kills bacteria on contact and/or prevents further
replication (bacteriostatic effect).

Extends the shelf life of the treated food.

Minimal or NO organoleptic effect

Extends food shelf life.

Generally diluted one part concentrate to two or three parts water depending upon function.

Applied to foods by hand dipped, spray, deluge or submersion.

Validated one-step solution to achieve Alternative #1 and/or just #2      able to claim Atlernative #2 "the NEXT DAY as Post Lethality Treatment)

Competitively priced - provides excellent customer value proposition.
